My heart is haunted
Haunted with the memories of an apparition
Spiders, in blood
Crawl through my veins and make me feel at home
With love like asthma
I bought some time
To find an escape
And call it mine
The serpent has your tongue
As I feel the nest hatching in my fucking mind
I can feel them getting stronger
As the clocks freeze I'll find what is truly mine
I can feel them getting stronger
So I must say goodbye
So I must say goodbye, farewell
As you walk out and wish me hell
Stay
Please, please don't go
I have been running this through my mind all day
Staring at these walls won't change a thing
Again
These spiders are crawling my head
And I can't help it
I know
I can't rewind clocks
I know
I can rethink these traits
And I know that we've made mistakes
But why count when we don't see our blessings
I know
I can't rewind clocks
I know
I can rethink these traits
I know
Is it just me, or are these spiders getting stronger
Is it just me, or are these spiders getting deeper
The serpent can't measure up
No, the serpent can't measure up
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
